An interview I conducted with someone who knew a person with an ALCOHOL issue
1- Who had this issue/Issues?

2- How's this affect you personally?
He was very young so he did not have to deal with much and was most likely unaware of it. His siblings were much older
(about 13-18) at the time so they had to become the parents/caretakers at some moments in his life.
3- What substance was involved?
alcohol
4- Is this still an issue in her life?
No, she has been sober for about 35 years.
5- How'd this change her life?
She met her second husband through her sobriety.
6- How'd this change your life?
He is more aware of alcoholism and the affects that it has on others.
7- Why was it used?
to detach from her situation, which was the death of her spouse.
8- What do you want teens to know?
" Always question whether alcohol is controlling your choices, or any substance for that matter"
9- For how long did this issue occur before help was given?

From this interview I realized how much of an impact problems like alcoholism can affect families. Also, i realized how it's not something to take lightly.
